That's not an invitation to attempt to flirt with me, or make sleazy comments. While my close friends are permitted very occasionally to flatter and tease me, I'm not someone who takes well to an excess of unwarranted familiarity from people who are acquaintances and fringe friends, let alone strangers. If you say something to me that I consider inappropriate, I will very clearly inform you immediately.
I say most things very clearly and immediately.
It has been suggested, on occasion, that this might make me an uptight bitch.
I prefer to think of it this way; I am someone who gets things done, is comfortable with herself, doesn't tolerate bullshit and consequently never has a problem with feeling mistreated or abused by others.
However, I always try to put something in a gentle and polite fashion first, only bringing the harsh when the other person makes it clear to me that they either don't understand gentle and polite, or that they simply have no respect for it.
I personally hold the opinion that what other people think of you is none of your business, so I don't ask, and I'm not particularly interested in unsolicited opinions.
I am from Perth, currently living in Sydney. This journal is largely to allow me to sort and analyse my thoughts and feelings by writing them down, and to inform my national and international friends of what is going on in my life at any given time.
I am slightly reclusive, and club very occasionally but also very hard.
I enjoy almost every style of music, from black Norwegian death metal to power ballads to vintage punk to very specific American country and western. The only exception is R&B. Keep that shit away from me.
I am also a member of the White Wolf Fanclub, aka the Camarilla International, which is a global organisation comprised of people who enjoy White Wolf's Live Action Roleplaying games. These LARPs deal with adult themes and dark fantasy, including but not limited to mythical creatures such as Vampires, Werewolves, Faeries and Wizards. Any character referenced in connection with one of these games is fictional, any recounted events tagged or titled to one of these games are fictional.
I am not a vampire, though I am a Goth.
If you personally identify with some sort of mythical beast, then my first advice to you is to go to your GP and ask for a referral to a counselor. But I figure you won't do that, since they're all full of shit and can't understand how special you are. They're part of the conspiracy, man, to keep you and people like you from understanding your true nature, from truly knowing yourselves.
So, failing that, I suggest you go here: http://www.sanguinarius.org/
Just, for the love of Pete, please don't involve any non-consenting individual in your activities. And I wouldn't suggest mentioning it in a job application, either.
